The final match of the Ashes series will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, December 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- After more than a month of gripping action, the 2010-11 Ashes will head to Sydney for the fifth and final match of the series.

Having called at Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne, Australia and England will meet at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) between January 3rd and 7th in what could prove to be the decider in the battle for the famous urn.

With little separating the two sides in the first match at the Gabba, all the signs are pointing towards a tight series in which tiny margins could have a huge impact.

Travelling Poms may well have despaired following their first innings in Brisbane, in which Peter Siddle took a hat-trick on the way to Andrew Strauss's men being bowled out for 260.

The Baggy Greens piled on the pressure by scoring 481, but a remarkable batting effort from the tourists - in which Strauss and Jonathan Trott hit centuries and Alastair Cook struck an unbeaten 235 - saw the clash end in a draw.

Fans of either side planning to stay in hotels near SCG for the Sydney Test should act fast to get hold of tickets, with prices starting at A$57 for the opening day.

Play is scheduled to take place between 10:20 and 17:30 local time on each day.
