Friends in Training, aka FIT, believes that everyone is able to achieve their goal of running a marathon or half marathon with the right training and guidance. For over ten years, the fitness organization Friends in Training has been training runners and walkers in the southern area of Florida. Overall, the program continues to provide members with structure and guidance that has been proven time and time again to produce positive results to anyone who dreams of running in a marathon or half marathon along with the opportunity to connect with others who share the same goals. With the advent of their new website, it has become easier to learn and connect with various aspects of the group. Not only can prospective members find information about the program, the organization, and the people involved, but these same people can now register online and gain access to invaluable tools that can help propel members to their goals no matter what they are.
The FIT program is managed by RRCA certified coaches, who are also experienced marathoners. Marcela Todd and Audrey Campbell work in conjunction with twenty assistant coaches to provide members with direction and support throughout the learning and achieving process. All of the members of the organization have a vast resource in these coaches alone to draw on when they need expert guidance and support, enabling anyone to reach their marathon related goals.
The Fort Lauderdale Friends in Training group will be holding registrations for this season on May 1st and May 8th.
