Anyone feeling energetic may want to enter the Bali Triathlon in June.

SEMINYAK, BALI, April 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anyone who enjoys a physical challenge may want to book into Seminyak hotels in June ahead of the Bali Triathlon.

This international sporting event takes place at Jimbaran Bay on June 20th, with competitors from all over the world arriving on the island to take part.

Featuring both an Olympic distance and sprint distance event, there is a contest to suit most sporting fanatics.

However, anyone who does not feel like taking the plunge before running and cycling their way to glory can always watch from the sidelines.

The Olympic distance course will see competitors taking on a 1,500m swim around Jimbaran Bay, before cycling 40.5km to Nusa Dua and from there, completing a 10km run through Jimbaran village.

Meanwhile, the sprint course includes a 500m swim, followed by shorter 20km cycle route to Nusa Dua and a 5km run for the final leg.

Entry fees for non-Indonesian residents start from US$95 (GBP62.61) for the short course or US$125 for the Olympic length race.

For those who want to take part but do not feel able to manage either of the triathlon courses, a 5km run will also be held over the weekend.

Over the two days leading up to the races, the competitors will be given guided tours of the routes for each stage of both triathlons.
